TOMATO CHUTNEY
Ingredients
* Tomatoes(4pcs).
*Urad dal(1 spn).
*Red chilli(2).
*Cloves(2).
*Black pepper(1 spn).
*Ginger(1 spn).
*Salt.
*Mustard seeds(1 spn).
*Curry leaves(5).
*Fenugreek seeds(pinch).
*Asafoetida(pinch).
*Oil.
*Urad dal(1 spn).
*Red chilli(2).
*Cloves(2).
*Black pepper(1 spn).
*Ginger(1 spn).
*Salt.
*Mustard seeds(1 spn).
*Curry leaves(5).
*Fenugreek seeds(pinch).
*Asafoetida(pinch).
*Oil.
Method
1. Heat 1/2 tbsp oil and add urad dal(black gram).after it turns brown add dry red chillis,cloves,black pepper and ginger.
2. Then add tomatoes,hing and salt.Stir until tomatoes soften about 6-7 min on low flame.
3. Let it cool,grind it,add 2 tbsp water and make it smooth paste.
4. In same pan heat 1 tbsp oil,add mustard seeds and crackle them,add curry leaves,fenugreek seeds,asafoetida and red chilli.
5. Then add ground tomato paste.stir well.
6. Check taste and add salt if required.
7. Serve with rice or chapati.
